A decision was made to transport a number of the helicopters from Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, Maryland to IMP Aerospace’s facilities located at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport using a maritime route from Maryland to the Port of Halifax in Nova Scotia. Lockwood Marine was selected by IMP Aerospace to provide this support. Lockwood Marine managed the removal of the helicopters from NAS Patuxent River through Norfolk Virginia culminating with the final delivery of the helicopters within the Port of Halifax. The transit involved the use of 3 barges and a Roll On/Roll Off vessel as well as numerous heavy lift cranes and diverse groups of Longshoremen and Stevedores. Throughout the transit operation, Lockwood Marine maintained full control of these valuable assets and delivered them at the appointed time in the exact condition as provided. IMP strongly recommends Lockwood Marine to any future customer.

Your team represented your company with the utmost professionalism while working under very adverse conditions on the Coleman Bridge. The job was not only difficult, however, the scope of work changed from what we originally contracted Lockwood for, and your team changed right with the difficult situation...I would ask that you convey my compliments to these gentlemen, they truly posses the caliber of character any company would want representing them...Again, thanks for all your help. As you may recall, we contracted Lockwood Brothers to help us offload our newly purchased crematory equipment and set it in place at our facility. Admittedly, being new to this venture, we were very nervous about everything falling in to place properly. In September, your crew, headed by Winky Gaus, came out and handled the entire project confidently, professionally, and efficiently. After talking with Winky during his initial visit to prepare for the job, all my concerns were put at ease. We could not have asked for any better group to help us.
